Dear Congregant,
Congregation Beth El's core values expressly state that we offer membership to all, regardless of financial situation and we are committed to allowing everyone the ability to join our congregational community. Thus, Congregation Beth El allows congregants experiencing financial hardships the ability to seek temporary relief from membership fees and religious school tuition obligations.
If you wish to be considered for reduction in your membership commitment and/or religious school tuition, please complete the enclosed application and return to Cathy Backal, our Financial Secretary.
The financial assistance process is highly confidential. All information included in this application and the required documentation will be kept completely confidential. Your application will be assigned a case number and your name and contact information will not be shared with the Financial Review Committee. The Financial Secretary will contact you once a decision is made regarding your assistance.
Financial assistance is based on each applicant's individual situation, dependent on the following criteria:
1. What is the extent of the need for relief?
2. Given all of the requests, how much relief is affordable within the operating budget of Congregation Beth El?
Please know that we are here to work with you and support you. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at 856-675-1166 or [email protected] or [email protected].
Sincerely,
Josh Laster, Executive Director
Cathy Backal, Financial Secretary
